Now he’s sending his right-wing attack dog after us

Now he's sending his right-wing attack dog after us
Friend,

Now he's sending his right-wing attack dog after us.

That's right – Steve Lonegan held a rally Tuesday to support Chris Christie's radical decision to remove Justice John Wallace from the state supreme court.

Never mind that the decision was an unprecedented slap in the face to a Supreme Court with a long recognized national reputation for excellence and independence.

Never mind that the decision will politicize the New Jersey court system and have a chilling effect on the independence of the entire judicial system in New Jersey and the trust and faith that our residents have that judges are appointed on their merits, not their politics.

Never mind that in one fell swoop, Gov. Christie has destroyed the diversity on our court and sent a message that independent thinking is no longer welcome.

By calling on Steve Lonegan for help, Christie made it perfectly clear he will stop at nothing – and will stoop to any level – in his effort to promote his right-wing agenda of tax cuts for millionaires at the expense of everything else including education funding, prescription assistance and property tax relief for seniors, healthcare options for New Jersey families and women's health funding.

Simply stated, they must be stopped.

To that end, we need you to do two things:

Sign the Petition: Go to this link and sign the petition for Justice Wallace, a jurist of impeccable credentials and the only African-American member of the court.

Make a Contribution: Go to this link and support our effort to save our court and stop Christie's right-wing agenda. $5 … $10 … Any and every contribution will help.

Again, by teaming up with one of the most extreme politicians in America – Christie has demonstrated his desperation as well as determination to politicize our court.

Let's stop them!

Thank you.

Chairman John Wisniewski

P.S. Every one of Governor Christie's major decisions, and his entire budget proposal, so far have brought cheers from right wing Republicans in Washington: Tax cuts for millionaires, demonizing teachers and public employees, abolishing civil service and collective bargaining , decimating state aid for our schools, eliminating all property tax rebates including for seniors and the disabled, allowing the unconstitutional efforts to recall a US Senator to go unchallenged, ending funding for family planning, and increasing prescription co-pays for seniors. Now Governor Christie is really making his conservative backers happy by politicizing New Jersey's proud and independent judiciary. Help us stop his right wing agenda today. Make a Contribution
